Rev. Harris, was  born and raised in Washington DC one of eight children, was called to proclaim the word of God 1998.  She joined Allen Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church ministerial staff as a licensed preacher in 2001.  In 2005, she joined the ministry at First African Methodist Episcopal Church of Alexandria Virginia, where Rev. Abraham Smith, Jr. is currently the Pastor.  In 2009, Rev. Harris was ordained an Itinerant Elder in the AME Church after completing her Masters of Divinity from the Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology at Virginia Union University in Richmond, VA.

While Rev. Harris currently serves as coordinator for the nursing home and new members ministry, the Scholarship committee and dance minister at First AME, she has also been used by God in various other ministries: youth minister, church school and bible study teacher; community evangelism; class leader coordinator, caring ministry communing the sick and shut-in; deliverance minister; and planting and encouraging dance ministries across the area. If you knew her story, you would know why she rejoices most in her family, saying "...yes, often times difficult, but it was in this place that God has molded and strengthened me into the woman I am today."

Mission:  To preach the Gospel of God in season and out of season.

Rev Sharahn Harris-Morgan
